WELCOME TO MY WORLD OF PHOTOGRAPHY
The moments we wish we could hold onto.
I’m Allen Warren, a photographer based in Jackson, Michigan. I’m a husband, a father of four, and someone who understands just how quickly the years can pass.
My wife, Sherrie, and I recently celebrated 35 years of marriage. Looking back, it’s remarkable how many moments that once seemed ordinary have become some of our most treasured memories.
That’s a big part of why photography matters so much to me.
Growing up, we didn’t have many family photographs. And in the ones we did have, someone was often missing—the person standing behind the camera.
Years later, when I started my own family, I found myself doing the same thing. I captured the birthdays, celebrations, and milestones, but sometimes overlooked the ordinary moments that truly told our story.
It taught me something I’ve carried into my photography ever since:
The photographs we treasure most aren’t always the ones we planned. Sometimes, they’re the moments we didn’t realize we’d miss.

The people and moments that matter most.
Watching my four children grow has given me a deeper appreciation for how quickly life changes. The little things we once took for granted become the memories we wish we could revisit.
That understanding shapes the way I photograph people. Whether it’s a couple beginning their marriage, a senior preparing for a new chapter, or a woman celebrating who she’s become, I want to create photographs that hold meaning long after the moment has passed.
What matters most in a photograph.
A photograph can be beautifully composed, but what makes it meaningful is the connection within it.
The way a parent looks at their child. A laugh shared between two people. The little expressions and gestures that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Those are the moments I look for when I’m behind the camera.

My photography style
My approach is relaxed and thoughtful, with gentle guidance when it’s needed and room for genuine moments to unfold.
I want the people I photograph to feel comfortable being themselves, because the images that mean the most are often the ones that feel the most like us.

“I believe that the beauty lies in the real, unscripted moments – those stolen glances, shared laughter, and genuine connections”
